Sunday, June 29th

New Salem Baptist Church

Today daddy got invited to preach at New Salem Baptist in Greensburg, KY. So, we got up a little bit earlier and headed out there. It is a small, but very friendly church. Scott did a great job preaching, as usual. Afterwards, we went to Scott's great aunt's house just around the corner from the church and had a very nice lunch with a lot of relatives from the country, some of which I knew, and some of which I didn't. A couple of Scott's cousins and their wives were there and they are about our age. One of them has a little girl Camryn's age so they played together good. The kids got to ride horses. Camryn kept saying "I wanna ride", but when it was her turn, she chickened out.

Saturday, June 28th

Today was Christian and Clayton's last coach pitch and t-ball games. They both did great. Clayton's team went out for pizza afterwards that my mom took him to, because I had to stay and watch Christian's game. Christian did awesome!! He is getting alot better at hitting the ball and not striking out. He hit it hard both times he got to bat, and he played first base and got somebody out!!! After the games, we headed on out to daycare for our open house. We had about 15-20 families come through, all of which seemed very pleased with the center. Now if we could just get licensing out there, then I could actually sleep at night:)

Wednesday, June 25th

Whew!!! What a crazy couple of days. We have been working ALOT on getting the daycare ready for open house this weekend. Poor Scott has to work all day, then come home and go straight to the daycare until 9:30 or so. Today the electricity finally got turned on, so at least we don't have to work with no air conditioning. After working on the daycare, Camryn and I came home and changed clothes to go to Mamaw Mary's to swim. Christian and Clayton were already there and Chad, Jessie, and Josh were there also. The boys have some friends next door to mamaw, so they came over also. We ordered pizzas and everybody ate pizza outside by the pool. After dinner, the boys' friends came over to our house to play for a couple of hours to give their mommy a break (she just had a baby 3 days ago). I had my three, plus three more (all boys except for Camryn). Tomorrow's plans are to go to daycare and finish setting up rooms, and cleaning the floors over there. Fun, Fun!!!! Tomorrow I will remember to take some pictures of the work in progress.

Monday, June 23rd

Today was the first day of vacation bible school. Christian and Clayton had a really good time. Camryn didn't get to go, but she did go to Ms. Theresa's house today to play with Abby while mommy did some work at the daycare. She always has such a good time over there. She swam in the baby pool and learned how to say "Abby". Ms. Theresa painted her fingernails and toenails. She's very proud of them. Mamaw Mary took the boys home after VBS and took them to lunch at Pizza Hut. Then they went to her house and swam with Uncle Chad, Aunt Jessie, and Josh. After dinner, we headed out to the daycare again to do a little more work.

Today Clayton and mommy stayed home from church so that Clayton could rest a little more. Mommy straightened up the house and then we left to go pick up Clayton's birthday cake for his party at 2:00. It was a power ranger cake. Everyone had a great time swimming and playing. It did start to rain after about an hour and a half, but we just moved the party inside and the kids played with all of Clayton's new toys that he got. After dinner, daddy watched the kids play outside while mommy went through toys in the basement and bedrooms to add to her daycare collection.

Saturday, June 21st

This morning, Clayton still had a high fever. He had to miss his t-ball game. Daddy took Christian to his game, and after lunch we headed over to mamaw Patty and papaw Bill's. They were going to watch the kids all day while mommy and daddy worked at the daycare. I hated to take Clayton out, but I really had no choice because things needed to get done. His fever finally broke while he was there and he was back to his old self, almost. Mamaw and Papaw took them to a tae kwon do demonstration where Jansen and Brayden take lessons. Then Brayden came back with them which thrilled Christian. They all went out to eat (brave souls)!!!! Meanwhile, mommy hasn't worked this hard in awhile. We moved six pick-up truck loads from storage to daycare. We also bought alot of the bookshelves and cabinets and put them together. We didn't pick up the kids until 9:00. Thank you, mamaw and papaw, for keeping the kids soooo long.

Friday, June 20th

This morning Clayton still has a temperature. It was over 103 degrees, so mommy decided to take him to the doctor. Mommy cleaned for the first part of the day, and then mamaw Mary came over to watch the other two (since Camryn was napping) while I took Clayton to the doctor. He ended up having a virus they said and to just let him rest alot. So, that's exactly what he did. I've never seen a six year old sleep so much. Daddy is watching the kids tonight while mommy goes to a wedding with mamaw and papaw.

Thursday, June 19th

Today was a pretty lazy day. Clayton woke up with a fever and has been laying around all day. Camryn has been very clingy and fussy, so I'm half afraid to go out and do the errands I need to do today. Christain is his usual bubbly self. Tonight the boys have softball practice. Mamaw Mary has offered to take them because she won't be able to come to their games on Saturday. Clayton will probaly have to miss practice. Mommy will probaly go to the grocery tonight when daddy gets home so I won't have to take sick and fussy children with me.

HAPPY 6TH BIRTHDAY CLAYTON!!!!!!

Today is Clayton's birthday. After picking up the boys from Mamaw Mary's, we went to lunch at Captain D's (Clayton's choice) with Mamaw. Then we took Mamaw out to see the daycare since she has never been inside of it. Uncle Chad, Aunt Jessie, and Josh came over to swim this afternoon. We had Papa John's for dinner (another one of Clayton's choices) and brownies for dessert. We just had a relaxed fun night hanging out in the yard and playing a family game of baseball. We rented National Treasures 2 for our movie night tonight.

Tuesday, June 17th

This morning we went to the bank and the grocery. After lunch, Jansen and Brayden came over to play for awhile. Tyler, across the street, also came over to play with Clayton. They went swimming most of the time and then started a game of baseball. After dinner, the boys went to Uncle Chad's softball game with Mamaw and Papaw. Tonight the boys are going to spend the night at their house.

Monday, June 17th

Today was back to work............I had about a gazillion errands to run and even more phone calls to return from being gone all week last week. The kids held up pretty good. Tonight I am going to take them swimming and we are going to spend the rest of the evening reading. We went to the library today and got lots of books for the summer reading program. Sorry to say, but there are no pictures to look at today.......

Happy Father's Day!!!!!

Today we went to Ralph Avenue Baptist Church for their 60th anniversary Sunday. There was a lunch afterwards. We came home for a couple of hours then headed on over to Mamaw Patty's and Papaw Bill's. We swam and ate dinner over there.

Our last day in Destin. We spent most of it on the beach today. I took a couple of short videos. We grabbed some fast food for dinner and went home and loaded up the car. We left around 8:00 p.m. and got home around 6:00 Saturday morning. The kids slept the entire way, but mommy and daddy were very tired. We went to bed when we got home and everyone slept until around 10:30. Then we got up and unpacked and did some daycare errands. We all went to bed extremely early on Sat. night.

Thursday, June 12th

Today daddy, Christian, and Clayton went to the air force musuem while mommy and Camryn went to the beach. Here are some pictures from their day..... Tonight we had a cookout with all of our group. Saturday is Papaw Fred and Gary's birthdays, so we got them a birthday cake and sang "Happy Birthday".

Today was about the same as all of the others. Beach and pool.....here are some pictures. Before lunchtime, we went on a sailboat tour. It was a one hour guided tour and was alot of fun. We saw several dolphins and they were swimming right by our boat.

Tuesday, June 10th

Camryn and Aunt Christie

We settled into a routine in Florida. We would wake up, eat breakfast, then head out to the beach with all of our group. After a couple of hours on the beach, we would go to the pool. Around 1:00 or so, we would all head to our different rooms for lunch. Then I would lay Camryn down for a nap, and either Scott or I would stay in the room with her while the other took the boys back to the beach or the pool. Then we would come in around 3:30 and get our showers and go out to eat. Tonight, though, we just did fast food with Aunt Christie and Uncle Keith and their crew. Then we went to the Track which is a place with go carts and put-put and rides for the little ones.

Monday, June 9th

Today we did the beach, and then the pool again. This afternoon, Aunt Jessie's brother and his family came in from Huntsville, AL. They have 2 girls Christian and Clayton's ages and ironically, the older one is just like Christian and the younger one is just like Clayton. They are twins separated at birth. Tonight we went to a seafood reastaraunt called Gilligans.

Sunday, June 8th

Today we woke up, ate a quick breakfast in our room, then headed off to the beach. Camryn wan't sure of the beach. She liked the ocean, but would have nothing to do with the sand. Tonight we went out to dinner at Fisherman's Warf. Papaw Fred loves oysters and Gary even decided to try one.
